The 12.26 Project: Thanksgiving 2012 **EXTENDED TO Christmas**

12.26 Project

Statistics show that between the Thanksgiving and New Year holidays, that we are more generous givers and in overall better moods. We give to the Salvation Army person ringing the bell outside of the grocery store, help one another in troubled situations like a broken down car, and tip just a little bit more than we normally would for a service. After all, it’s the Holidays!

Last year Clean.Lean.Sharp started a movement that put the “Holiday Spirits” into a constructive effort – and we called it: The 12.26 Project. We organized a clothing and food drive that was personally delivered to people less fortunate…living without homes, shelter or any idea where their next meal may come from. The effort was a SUCCESS!

This year, we are hoping to do the same thing. This time, for Thanksgiving!

We’re going to keep this effort simple and collect 3 things:

Think: hot plate, ready to eat…while you’re preparing your Thanksgiving meals, make 1 extra dish for The 12.26 Project effort! Don’t worry about packaging, we will organize all donations and prepare “to-go” type plates with variety on every plate!

The 12.21 Project: Thanksgiving 2012 (clothes)

It’s getting cold! Big needs will be: coats, winter wear, socks, hats, gloves, blankets & pillows.

The 12.21 Project: Thanksgiving 2012 (books)

This is something new. I think we often have this caricature of the less fortunate as being ignorant or lazy or simply satisfied with their predicament – instead I think we should encourage and engage them for a better path, that they would also prefer!

Distribution day is set for Saturday, 11/24/2012. EXTENDED TO 12/26/2012

This will allow everyone to still enjoy their Thanksgiving time with friends and family, while still gathering goods for the drive. As with last year, I will personally make effort to pick-up any Food/Clothing/Books that you cannot deliver. This is a Metro-Atlanta movement. But I am encouraging those outside of the Metro Atlanta area to start a 12.26 Project of your own! This cannot be an isolated movement.

Pledge your donation by contacting me directly (, commenting on Facebook (, or enter your information BELOW and we will contact you!!

Do something in your local community TODAY! (With the tragic events in the North East following Hurricane Sandy – this would be a great opportunity to help your communities locally!)
