Paleo 30 Day Challenge: Day 8

End of Day 8:
Ok…you got week 1 under your belt. You’re probably feeling a lot better about the ‘detox’ moments and your body is finally starting to adjust to living off of a truly clean diet! By now you’re also perhaps starting to get a little more creative in the kitchen. Hopefully you’ve been able to search through Paleo Recipe books and/or online Paleo Recipes to help you with ideas and getting some extra flavor into your daily meals! 

By now, you should have taken your 2nd set of progress pictures, titled “Week 1” (remember to try to take the same picture from the same distance/pose/lighting/etc.) 

Take the pictures…remind yourself that this is a process…don’t expect unrealistic transformation in just 1 week. Remember: you may feel 1 million times better…but (if you’re “out of shape”) it didn’t take you a  week to get in poor health, and 1 week won’t correct it! But be confident that this is indeed the process: you will feel better internally first (mentally, health, emotionally)…in due time, your external transformation will produce the translation of how great you feel inside!

As you head into your second week, work on dialing in your diet even more….if you can be even more strict on yourself (less fruit, nuts, etc)…see how far you can challenge yourself! (REMEMBER: this doesn’t mean: eat less…..in fact, in some cases it will mean: eat MORE…just keep your Paleo Diet cleaner.)

Stay off the lying scale…don’t always believe your lying eyes. Week 1 is primarily about getting your inner-health in line. Your exterior will follow! The best notification of when this transition begins taking place WON’T be on the scale or in the mirror…but in your clothes! That’s right..you’ll feel those pants get a little looser – perhaps getting to one more hole in the belt. This will be one of your early signs to the interior healthierYOU translating to the exterior healthierYOU!

You’ve been through 1 week and 1 weekend….now you know what to expect, attack this week with even more prepared aggressiveness this week!
